SINGLE WALL LAYOUT
The distinguishing feature of the Single Wall Layout is that the backs of the shelves are attached to only one wall.
The shelf ends may attach to: neither of the side walls, the left side wall, the right side wall, or both side walls, as shown in the diagrams below.
If both ends are attached to the side walls (wall-to-wall shelving), vertical supports and back wall attachment are not essential, assuming the shelves are 90" or less in length and the shelving will not have to support heavy weight loading.
