BOWER LAYOUT FOR FOR CLASSIC STYLE SHELVING
The bower is a variation of any of the other three layouts. The distinguishing feature of a bower layout is that the shelving unit either partially or fully surrounds a space intended for some object on, or against, the wall.
One or more shelves extend the full length of the shelving unit.
The shelves may be adjacent to two, three, or four sides of the object.
Bowers are frequently designed to fit around a bed, big screen television, plasma TV, bar, painting, sculpture, furniture, audio/video equipment, or an entertainment center.
To view photographs of installed shelving units with this shelving layout, select

Only the wall-to-wall configuration is shown below for the bower layout, in which all shelf ends adjoin the side walls.
