GUARANTEED PERFORMANCE:
OUR "FOREVER GUARANTEE"
HouseWerks' Forever Guarantee gives you the assurance that you are purchasing sturdy, wood shelving that will enhance the beauty of your home or office and will stand the test of time.
With our lifetime guarantee, if HouseWerks Custom Shelving fails to perform under normal interior home or office use because of defects in materials or workmanship, you can request a replacement of defective shelves, vertical supports, and hardware or a refund if more than 30% of the shelving unit (as measured by linear feet) is defective.
Our Forever Guarantee assures replacement or refund as long as the following requirements are met and the caveats are understood and accepted:
HouseWerks must be contacted before any merchandise is returned. Instructions for returning merchandise will be sent by e-mail.
Customer must provide proof of purchase,
Shelving must be returned with the same physical dimensions as shipped, i.e. shelves that have been cut or otherwise physically modified are not returnable. It is expected that shelves will be stained or have other surface treatment/finishes and as such are returnable.
HouseWerks' lifetime warranty covers structural and adhesive materials used in the construction of your shelving, but not finishing materials. HouseWerks uses the best coating materials available on our shelving. All lacquer (both clear and colored), as well as any other protective coating, will in time deteriorate. HouseWerks gives a two-year warranty on all finishes.
Any indication of physical abuse or failed attempts to refinish or modify the shelving will negate this warranty. Please note that on HouseWerks shelving, like most furniture purchased today, has relatively thin veneer covering all finished surfaces.
Please note that in the future if your shelves need refinishing, use very fine sandpaper to remove the blemishes. All sanding should be done by hand. Be aware that aggressive sanding can completely remove the veneer. This usually happens when power sanders are used by those with insufficient experience.
Customers agree to provide written and/or photographic evidence, if asked, to verify the location, use, and installation of the shelving, as well as the defects in materials or workmanship claimed.
HouseWerks is the sole authority to determine the merit of any claim filed for non-performance of HouseWerks shelving.
Customers are responsible for payment of shipping costs and insurance for all returned merchandise.
You should retain the original packing and boxes because suitable packing materials will be difficult to find if the originals are thrown way and for whatever reason you need to return the shelving.
HouseWerks is not responsible for lost or misdirected returns. Make sure the package is addressed properly.
All replacements are shipped at no charge to the customer with return shipping reimbursable.
Refunds are prorated based on the number of linear feet in shelves found to be defective as compared to the total number of linear feet of shelves in the order. Only the amount paid for the shelving, finishing, and other shelving options are refunded. Material deposit and shipping costs are not refundable.
Refunds will be paid by company check, cashier's check, deposit to your PayPal account, or credit issued to your credit card at HouseWerks' discretion.
